Dr. Bharat Bhushan Singla, Associate Professor

Dr. B.B.Singla, working as Professor in the department of School of Management Studies, Punjabi University, Patiala (Punjab). Dr. Singla is actively involved into the administration of the university. Presently, he is working as Proessor Incharge, Finance (Finance Officer) of the university since December, 2025. He is also holding the position of Additional Controller of Examinations of Punjabi University, Patiala since July, 2024. He is Masters in Business Administration (MBA) and Ph.D from Punjabi University, Patiala, and Qualified UGC-NET. He has also done M.Sc (Computer Science), Post-Graduate Diploma in Operations Management (PGDOM), Diploma in Information & System Management (DISM) and an e-Program on Marketing and Communication. He has more than 25 years of Teaching & Research Experience. He is also working as Nodal Officer of the MBA (Distance Education Course) and Admission Coordinator for last more than 10 years. He has worked as Coordinator/In-charge and in different capacities for various administrative responsibilities of the department and university too. He has more than Hundred Research Papers, Seven Edited Books and Ten Subject Books to his credit. He has completed a Post Doctoral Research Project sponsored by ICSSR in 2018 as Principal Investigator. He has worked as 'General Secretary' of Punjab Commerce & Management Association (Regd.) from 2006 to 2017 and presently working as 'Vice-President' of Punjab Commerce & Management Association (Regd.) since 2017. He has worked as 'Executive Editor' of the PCMA - Journal of Business (A Refereed Bi-annual Journal of Management & Commerce, ISSN No. 0974-9977) from December 2020 to December 2022 and as ‘Managing Editor’ of the same from 2008 to 2020 and again from 2023 onwards. He has attended/ participated/ organized various National / International Conferences / Seminars / Workshops / Webinars/ Faculty Development Programs etc. He has also acted as Chairperson/Co-chairperson/Panelist/Key Speaker/ Resource Person in a number of International and National Conferences/Seminars. Dr. Singla has been awarded as the ‘Young Researcher Award’ by the Himachal Pradesh Commerce and Management Association (HPCMA).  He has been also awarded as ‘National Builder Award’ by Rotary Club, Patiala on Teacher’s Day in the year 2024. He is the member of different academic bodies and research panels of various universities/institutions of India. He is also on the Panel of many journals as advisor and referee. He has successfully guided 35 (Thirty Five) Ph.d Scholars (National & International) till date and 11 (Eleven) more are pursuing their research under his supervision. He is successfully running an exclusive program to help the young students and scholars under the banner of ‘Shaping Young Minds’. His main research areas include Consumer Behaviour, Services Marketing and Emerging Marketing Issues.

He teaches in the area of Marketing Management/Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management.
